Dr Ilektra A. Fragkou, Dip.ECSRHM, is a graduate (DVM) of the Faculty of Veterinary Science of the University of Thessaly, where she has also undertaken postgraduate studies (PhD). She has become a de facto Diplomate of the European College of Small Ruminant Health Management in 2011, after evaluation of her professional, clinical and academic credentials.
She has published 23 refereed papers in international scientific journals, which have received >200 citations, and has presented >30 talks in conferences world-wide. She has served as co-editor of the multi-author volume: ‘Sheep Diagnostic Medicine’ and co-author of the booklet: ‘Health Management of Pregnant Ewes’.
Currently, she works at the National Veterinary Service of the Hellenic Ministry of Rural Development and Food. She collaborates with the ECSRHM training centre at the University of Thessaly for clinical matters within the speciality.
His interests are focused in health management, diseases and welfare of small ruminants.
