We have an exciting opening for a Lecturer/Senior Lecturer in Small Ruminant Health and Flock Management to join the Department of Pathobiology and Population Sciences. The position will be based at our Hawkshead Campus but will also involve interacting with a number of our collaborative teaching partners in Hertfordshire, Hampshire, Dorset and Devon to truly integrate our small ruminant teaching across all five years of the BVetMed course.

Applicants should have clinical veterinary experience of working in the small ruminant sector and will be keen to teach small ruminant medicine and flock management to undergraduate and post graduate level. We are looking to appoint an enthusiastic teacher who is capable of delivering existing teaching and helping with the development of new courses. Whilst not essential, candidates holding the European College of Small Ruminant Health Management diploma will be an advantage.

We are looking to fill a full time position in this role, but we will consider two part-time appointments to fulfil a full time post if suitable candidates are available.

This post is suitable for someone with a Veterinary Degree that is registerable with the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons and those with existing teaching experience and/or relevant postgraduate qualifications will be at an advantage (clinical diploma, Post Graduate Certificate in Education). A record of published research is beneficial.
